About Me

My name is Dan and I am the owner of K-9 Kare. I have experience with a wide range of breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as experience with reactive dogs. I offer a professional dog walking service in Loughton (Essex) as well as 1-2-1 training sessions in person and online.

I am committed to fruther education and am always looking for new coursses to undertake! I hold the following qualifications:

Dog Training Services

From experience I know that every dog is unique and requires a personalised approach. As such I will take the time to gain a deep understanding of each dogs lifestyle including; routine, health, diet and relationships. This ensures that the correct approach is taken and effective solution provided. As a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers I will only use gentle, kind and effective dog training methodology, based on sound theoretical scientific theory and abide by the IMDT's code of ethics.

I offer 1-2-1 training solutions for common issues such as lead pulling, recall, general obedience, puppy and trick training. I also offer behavioural support for more complex cases such as reactivity, seperation anxiety and much more. In person support is available within the locality of Loughton (Essex), but online support is also available via zoom world-wide.

Dog Walking Services

I offer a professional group dog walking service in Loughton (Essex). I run walks Monday to Friday and offer walks at 9am, 11am and 1pm. Your dog will be collected in my air-conditioned customized dog van and taken to a variety of local green spaces to spend an hour of off-lead fun with their K9 Friends.

My services are fully insured, DBS checked and K9 First Aid trained, giving you peace of mind knowing that your dog is in safe hands. I take the safety and well-being of your dog seriously and ensure that all of our trainers and walkers are fully trained and qualified to provide the highest level of care.

Project Rescue

Since October 2024 I have been working with All Dogs Matter Rescue Centre in Waltham Abbey. During my time here I have worked with a wide range of dogs each with their own unique history.

I have both personally trained dogs at the centre and also provided the centres staff with talks and training around a number of important considerations for rescue dogs including:

Enrichment and its impact on a dogs well-being
Helping rescued dogs acclimatise to their new homes
Body Language
Hnadling and Husbandry Skills
The importance of positive reinforcement training
Muzzle training and its benefits for every dog

I offer on-going support to new-rescue owners via discounted 1-2-1 training sessions.
